What is Matchday?
Matchday is your home for daily football challenges. Test your knowledge of clubs, players and iconic football moments with The XIand the Football Grid, with new challenges every single day.
When do daily games reset?
New challenges are released every day at midnight, giving you a fresh challenge to solve every 24 hours.
Can I play more than once a day?
Yes. The daily puzzle is always there, and the New grid /New game buttons let you play as many practice boards as you like. Only daily games count toward your streak.
Is there a timer?
Both games can be played with no timer, or as a90-second, 60-second or40-second challenge.
Where does the data come from?
Player data is built from Wikidata (CC0) and photos come from Wikimedia Commons. There are no API keys and no runtime rate limits.
